And, she believed that efforts to better education educate young woman oslo women also served God. if woman was If women were better educated, she toldfelt, they could teacher teach in local schools thourgh all of throughout the United States and in foreign countries.
Mary Lyon was born in Buckland, Massachusetts, in 1797. her Her father died when she was five 5 years old. for MarryFor Mary, hard work was a way of life. But she later remembered with great pleasure her childhood years in the home where she was born.
