利用nginx和mongrel、unicorn 对puppet进行端口负载均衡
公司的虛擬化平臺上的主機,用的是puppet進行管理,但是單個puppet有很大的瓶頸的問題~ puppetmaster默認使用的是ruby自帶的web服務器WEBRick,它太過簡陋,無法滿足puppet客戶端成百上千的并發(fā)性能很不好。
ruby又是一種解析型語言,性能肯定不會非常好;這樣呢,我們也不能用高性能的語言把他重寫了去,但我們可以在部分地方動手腳來進行性能優(yōu)化
我的思路是 結(jié)合反向代理,puppetmaster承受能力至少可以提升數(shù)倍以上,相當于在很大程度上優(yōu)化了puppet的處理能力。
個人總結(jié),puppet很適合做 各個服務的配置~ 但是不適合文件的傳送,比如你想發(fā)個環(huán)境安裝包,讓客戶端安裝,這就很蛋疼了~?

另外大家也可以試試?用?unicorn?代替puppet本身的web~據(jù)說性能不錯,最少github已經(jīng)用了~
這個配置做完后,不知道性能不錯的,但是運行幾天后,會造成程序占資源~ 原因不明~
安裝依賴:

復制一個puppet的rack配置文件
