在微軟同Windows XP SP3同時提供的《Windows XP Service Pack 3 Beta Preview Release Notes》一文中提到：As in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2, and Windows Vista, the user may now complete setup without having to provide their product key. They will be prompted for the product key as part of Genuine Advantage during subsequent use.
這也就意味著，用戶無需密匙即可完成Windows XP SP3（集成版）的安裝。
