搞IT的，自然會經常看到英文，對于大部分人來看，就算英語再好，總沒有中文看起來有效率，所以免不了要翻譯看中文再看，正好最近我在翻譯Spring 官方的文檔(這些文檔我陸續放在今日頭條上了，可以關注我)，對谷歌翻譯與百度翻譯深好處深有體會，我下面分別從科技類文獻，新聞報道類、文學類來對比一下兩者的水平。我這里只選擇從英文到中文，畢竟這是使用最多的，而從中文翻譯到英文我也不確定外國人是否看得懂：

1、科技文獻類

spring核心文檔中的一 段：

The central artifacts in Spring's new Java-configuration support are @Configuration-annotated classes and @Bean-annotated methods.

The @Bean annotation is used to indicate that a method instantiates, configures, and initializes a new object to be managed by the Spring IoC container. 第二段，一開始講的意思一樣，然后中間不一樣了，本意是"@Bean注釋與 元素具有相同的作用"，而谷歌什么 搞的，居然出現了一個@Node 。然后其它部分問題和上面一樣，一些應該不翻譯的詞，百度翻譯了，而且改首字母為小寫了，要寫給別人看，還要自己改一下。本段百度獲勝(意思對了，只是改動也不小)

第三段，兩者意思一樣，也符合實際，但百度又不識別專有名詞，又改為首字母為小寫了。本段谷歌勝

再來一段MYSQL上的介紹：

可以看到兩者都不需要修改，就可以直接看得懂，百度比較符合國人習慣，把幾種故障寫在括號中"并在出現問題(如系統崩潰、硬件故障或用戶錯誤刪除數據)"。本輪百度勝。

再來一段(HADOOP上的)：

3、小說類

《達芬奇密碼》中的一段：

總結：對于百度翻譯基本能翻譯出大概意思，谷歌嘛，有時翻譯出來，需要很大改動。但對于學術行業類，百度對于專有名詞解釋還是很差的，主要有：不應該翻譯的，翻譯了；把首個字母小寫了；把幾個單詞合成的專有名詞，要么翻譯一半，要么合成一個單詞。

如果你主要是看新聞，小說類的，可以用百度；學術行業類的，用谷歌
