We were near the parking lot now.
我們現在離停車場不遠。

I veered left, toward my truck. Something caught my jacket, yanking me back.
我轉向左邊，面對我的車。有人抓住了我的夾克讓我回過神來。

"Where do you think you're going?" he asked, outraged. He was gripping a fistful of my jacket in one hand.
“你想著要去哪里？”他氣憤地問到。他又抓了手我的夾克。

I was confused. "I'm going home."
我疑惑了。“我想要回家。”

"Didn't you hear me promise to take you safely home? Do you think I'm going to let you drive in your condition?" His voice was still indignant.
“你聽到我保證安全送你回家了嗎？以你現在的情況，你認為我會讓你開車？”他的聲音聽上去任然義憤填膺。

"What condition? And what about my truck?" I complained.
“什么情況？那我的車怎么辦？”我抱怨道。

"I'll have Alice drop it off after school." He was towing me toward his car now, pulling me by my jacket.
“我會讓Alice在放學之后開走的。” 現在，他拉著我的夾，拖著我走向他的車。

It was all I could do to keep from falling backward. He'd probably just drag me along anyway if I did.
我能做的就只是讓我自己不向后跌倒。即使我倒了他可能也會拖著我走的。
